I have finally reached my goal of baking a loaf of bread in the shape of the egg pod from the movie Alien. Yes! I have been tinkering with a drier bread dough mix. My pizza dough recipe made for some fine Focaccia, but yielded a heavy loaf. Upping the flour to water ratio has helped (but it’s harder to kneed). It’s still tasting too ‘young’, though. You have to keep striving for perfection. New goal? Snakes On A Plane soup. Food makes me cry sometimes.
Well this is an exciting post! I like the movie-themed food. Maybe you can sell the ideas to the chefs at Alamo. Hmm..maybe it’s better to keep the glory all to yourself.
