ADDED: Texas Hillcountry Wine & Food Festival : Central Coast Treana Tasting
Friday, April 16 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.,  $65 Max’s Wine Dive
Dive Into the Central Coast Treana Tasting features Austin Hope, winemaker of the acclaimed Treana Winery as well as Hope Family Wines, who will present a retrospective tasting of Treana Vineyards Central Coast Wines. Hope studied under Chuck Wagner of Caymus in the early 90s, drawing inspiration from the Northern Rhone and Cabernet from the Napa Valley before taking over as Treana’s winemaker in 1998. His own philosophy has evolved at the intersection of the Old World and the New, a respect for balance and elegance layered onto the vibrant fruit of the Central Coast. Tickets: texaswineandfood.org

ADDED: Texas Hillcountry Wine & Food Festival : Quintessa Reserve Tasting
Saturday, April 17 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., $85 Sullivan’s Steakhouse
Highly acclaimed wine educator, consultant and writer Karen MacNeil and winemaker Gwen McGill host this tasting of inspirational Quintessa Reserve vintages. Nestled in the heart of the renowned Rutherford appellation of Napa Valley, Quintessa is an extraordinary estate that expands over 280 acres. The medium to full-bodied red wine is distinctive while achieving the perfect blend of harmony, balance and length of flavors. Johnson’s Backyard Garden Annual Spring Potluck : Saturday April 10, 4 – 7pm
Join the farm family, interns, and customers of the farm for live music, great food, tractor rides around the farm, and lots of fun activities for the kids. East Austin Farm Tour : Sunday April 11, 1 – 5pm
Self-paced tour will connect Boggy Creek, Rain Lily, Springdale and HausBar Farms. Participants can walk through rows of vegetables, visit chicken coops, and taste local foods fresh from the fields prepared by local chefs from Eastside Cafe, Word On Food, Olivia’s, Dai Due, Cooking by Design, Texas French Bread, Jeffrey’s, the Odd Duck Farm and East Side Showroom. Local Creators and purveyors of wine, beer and spirits will be on hand with samples. Tickets: $35 advance or $40 at the gate: 512 494-1464
