Through the Generous Support of Confituras

I love cooking, photographing and writing about food in Austin. I couldn’t keep doing it without the support of our sponsors. To the group that keeps my burners lit, please welcome Confituras.

Stephanie makes the best small batch, locally sourced jams, jellies and preserves I have ever tasted. Offerings change depending what’s in season. Current flavors up for grabs:

whole cranberry tangerine sauce – a classic combination made from fresh, whole cranberries, organic tangerines from orange blossom farms, organic cane sugar, and lemon – nothing more, nothing less.  ditch the can this year and go local.  8 and 4 ounce jars.
cranberry jalapeno jelly – made from fresh cranberries, organic jalapenos, organic cane sugar, this sparkling sweet-hot little number is the perfect guest at both a casual holiday meal (or leftover turkey sandwich) or at a fancy soiree. serve over fresh chevre or cream cheese, or creme with crackers or as a perky substitute to the can on your thanksgiving table. 8 and 4 ounce jars.
pear jam with fresh sage & honey – bartlett pears simmered with organic cane sugar and good flow wildflower honey, then infused with aged white balsamic vinegar and garden fresh sage.  a subtle & lovely medley worthy of a good smothering of a sweet potato biscuit or port tenderloin.  8 and 4 ounce jars.
salted caramel pear butter – i’ve heard it said that some of my confituras are fit enough to be eaten simply with a spoon in a quite, out of the way place.  if i were to ever do such a thing, and i might not admit it if i did, i would bring a jar of this silky butter with me.  french butter pears, brown sugar and piloncillo, fleur de sel.  yes.  8 and 4 ounce jars.
