January Garden

It may seem dormant outside, but dirt never sleeps (unless it’s taking a dirt-nap). The Travis County Master Gardeners Association recommends the following.

Things to plant in January: Asparagus crowns, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Lettuce, Onion Sets, Peas and Spinach.

It’s also the perfect time to transplant, prep the soil and fertilize. Or just sit inside and read about it in the fourth edition of the Travis County Master Gardener Garden Guide.
