This is going out to the people last Saturday who didn’t take me up on my offer to come over for some backyard fish tacos. You blew it. This was awesome. Redfish Tacos with Mango Guacamole, Creme Fresh, Cole Slaw and Grilled Limes. Creme Fresh is my new thing. It’s stunningly good. It’s a living miracle. I’m pretty sure it can cure cancer.

I have been locked into making three types of pizzas. It’s hard to deviate when I spent so much time honing them to what they are today. I need to branch out though. Keep pushing myself. Every topping combination cooks differently. The fat content of different cheeses, the moisture content of the vegetables, the thickness of the crust. If you prepare them all the same, you aren’t doing the pie justice.
A Four Year Old Hiding In My Kitchen
Just when you think you are getting the hang of something, you learn some thing new. Unfortunately, the ‘something new’ in this case falls into the ‘what not to do’ category. It tasted like a four year old snuck op on the boiling water and squeezed a big glob of Elmer’s Glue in. OK, it wasn’t that bad, but there was something amiss.
Temporarily Transplanted
HOPE Farmers’ Market is pulling up it’s roots this weekend to make room for SXSW. Their temporary location will be one block north at E. 6th St. & Waller St. Kerbey Lane will be doing Lamb Burgers and Breakfast Quesadillas. Sounds like a plan.
