Underrated Root Vegetable

I think beets have a bad rap. Look at the colors. Beautiful. This is the beginning of a roasted beet salad. Beets are totally transformed during the roasting process. They go from unedible roots to sweet, earthy deliciousness. I wish beets all the luck in the world in overcoming their tattered public image.

Measured Progress

Accuracy may be getting a helping hand with the SmartMeasure Cup. The evolution of the measuring cup, finally. Over the last few years I have been weighing ingredients much more than I used to. Because of the whole precision thing. SmartMeasure should be hitting the shelves sometime this Fall.
