I like whom ever figured this out. I mean, you are at the store already buying steak, why not just continue on with the cart you were using! Then, find an abandoned well and some sticks, BINGO! Spontaneous cookout.

I am thinking about setting up a grilled cheese tour. I don’t even care if I have to bring bread and my George Foreman grill to every artisan cheese maker around. Sure, they will laugh. Well, this past weekend wasn’t quite the spectacle of the previous one (Texas Tech). Everyone kept saying, “you should have been here last weekend” (I was). Because of the early game time, many tailgaters left their big rigs at home. That’s not to say that there were not some interesting grills cooking up a storm. Ever had dreams of being a short order cook? Checkout Luck-N-Chuck Tailgaters’ flat top grill with integrated deep fryer bowl.
This one-off masterpiece is a mix of heavy gauge steel, wire racks and portable propane burners. They better submit a patent on this before someone beats them to it.
Why is this man smiling? Because he’s resourceful. Why buy a second grill when you can just rob the one that hangs off the back of your powerboat? Sure, laugh it up land-lovers. But, it’s Larry’s kind of focused, one burger at a time cooking that has made tailgating what it is today.
In the beehive that is game day, sometimes it is hard finding one, sweet tailgate rig that really stands out from the crowd. This was not a problem for the Texas Tech vs. Texas tailgate. A monster stood out from the crowd.

Why is this man smiling? Because he is smoking up the top parking lot at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium for the opening game of the UT football season (spoiler alert: UT won and all the BBQ was eaten). I was surprised that there were not more big rigs in attendance like this one.
This is the official Moonshine Restaurant (link sound warning) rig, piloted by non other than Paul “Heavy P” Smith. Heavy P had it going on with brisket, sausage and chicken in the smoker and on the grill. Click on the link below for more pictures of meaty goodness. B&B makes wicked good coals.
