Tomatotes

The tomatoes are coming in hot and heavy. The article in Edible Austin on canning is going to come in handy. I don’t use tomato cages or space the plants out nice and even. I do more of a tomato hedge. It supports it self and makes it harder for the squirrels to raid. I start from seed in a plastic tray and transplant them when they get a couple of inches tall into separate plastic containers. After they get a few more inches tall, they go into the ground. Tomato sauce, salsa, tomato salad, ketchup, BLT… what aren’t tomatoes good for? Can’t have enough of them.
