I love to eat and drink while watching a movie. To that end, we are blessed here in Austin to have the Alamo Drafthouse. Along with their normal screenings, they put on special movie/menu events. This weekend you can have a themed meal while watching the new Harry Potter movie. Butterbeer, anyone?
Alamo Draft House celebrates the opening of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The event will feature a multi-course gourmet meal inspired by the Harry Potter Universe. Tickets will go fast, so make sure to get them while they are still available. The $45 cost includes admission, feast, and beer pairings.
The Menu will include:
-Chilled crab and leak soup *Paired with Speckled Hen
-Seared Sea Scallops and bacon on English pea puree with honey cider vinaigrette *Paired with Black Thorn Cider
-Beer Braised Roast beef with stilton and bacon stuffed twice baked potatoes *Paired with Hob Goblin
-Butter Beer- Ginger Ale and Butterscotch Ice cream float *Paired with St Peters Cream Ale
