Blood Red Soup

Who doesn’t love a good bowl of Borscht! OK, I don’t, but my wife does. Sliced beets, simmered for an hour with garlic and salt. Hit it with some lemon juice at the end to brighten up the flavors.

Do you cook with beets much? What a nightmare. Beet juice is harder to clean up than blood. The kitchen looks like a crime scene when you are done. They say it’s the most dangerous room in the house.
